Huffaker Shaklee Newsletter Summer Addition

I had a wonderful vacation with my children in the month of June. Getting away is not always easy, but it is certainly rewarding.

If any of you watch Public TV in the Dallas area you may have seen the lady speaking on nutrition. She said, “if you have a colon you need to take a probiotic.” Shaklee’s probiotic is Optiflora. Several were introduced to Optiflora when we had a shortage of Herb Lax. Many of them reported such good results that they have continued to take the Optiflora.
I ordered her book, The Road to Perfect Health, by Brenda Watson C.NC. I have it in the office if anyone would like to see it for a reference.
Small sample
Gastroesophageal Reflux (GERD)
• Heartburn- painful burning sensation in the esophagus.
• Acid indigestion – another name for heartburn
• GERD – chronic heartburn
• Reflux esophagitis – an inflammation of the lining of the esophagus.
Factors that may contribute to the irritation:
• Overeating
• Eating too rapidly
• Inadequate chewing
• Swallowing large amounts of air when eating
• Overweight/obesity

Dehydration is the most common cause of fatigue and poor athletic performance. Shaklee Performance is clinically proven to hydrate better than water. Plus Performance has more electrolytes and provides more energy than the leading hydration drink.
Proven in the lab:
Shaklee calls it Performance for a good reason. Laboratory tests with high-level athletes show that Shaklee Performance:
• Minimizes fluid loss for enhanced hydration
• Delivers a full spectrum of electrolytes, including calcium and magnesium (not in the leading brand)
• Maintains blood-glucose levels to sustain intense energy output and to increase stamina
